RHOPROSE.COM exists as a First Amendment voice engaged in soapbox social intercourse to confront the promoted ignorance that encourages Americans to yield individual liberty via loss of "freedom from" to the ideological enemies of America's founding principles. Reason must win the philosophical battle against the conditioned dependency the Left promotes to create their harvests of compliant and progressively regressive voters -- you know, ideological cavemen. This is not said with animus but with hope that reason and tough love can sway and save. After all, we all have friends or loved ones we vehemently disagree with and would never vote for--though we would defend them to the death, right?
First impressions being what they are, many visitors may initially see RHOPROSE.COM as the enemy, but let's hope that inference is confined to the realm of political and ideological debate, always protective of the eclectic voices represented in America.
RHOPROSE.COM will exercise its first amendment right with deep dedication and determination, but always from atop the soapbox and using tenets of free speech to nudge and push opponents from positions and platforms currently doing harm to America and the future of Her children. Regardless of how contemptuous the debate gets, RHOPROSE.COM is ready with an outstretched hand to welcome thinkers and lovers of liberty to the table to hash it all out. Let the fittest arguments and positions survive. Remember, righteous practitioners of different faiths could spend a lifetime perfecting what they have in common. If We The People can spend time perfecting what we have in common, perhaps solutions for the differences will become clear and agreeable. Perhaps.
And who is RHOPROSE.COM? Well, more to come on that as we work through the beta launch. Overall, we want all of you to know and exercise liberty and we wish you well as you pursue happiness. And remember to lean hard toward respecting and protecting all your fellow Americans because in so doing you protect our America.

Some Core Beliefs:
- Lead with respect and kindness when possible. One can be a great friend, colleague, or neighbor but be an absolutely despised politician, civil servant, or public figure. Confusing one's personal life with political life can be a huge mistake. Just because some may like you or say you are nice doesn't mean RHOPROSE.COM will ignore your godawful politics or anti-America actions or public policy. Get your hugs at home. And, yes, it is possible to engage in deep friendships and to love to great depths and still disagree--vehemently. The country and, therefore, the liberty supposedly secured by its Constitution are at stake--all of it precariously balanced upon the fulcrum. Much is risked by risking nothing: RHOPROSE.COM will lean toward the risk to engage in the growing effort to save it all for all. If we disagree with you today it doesn't mean we will with your next action tomorrow. Though we might. (Will you join the debate?)
- RHOPROSE.COM is committed to the fight for America atop the soapbox so that there never needs to be an internal fight for Her atop the ammobox. Remember, America was never promised but one Revolution or but one Civil War. So climb atop the soapbox--your soapbox--and help protect us all. Be proud to get loud but also remember bullet 1 above: Lead with respect and kindness when possible.
- RHOPROSE.COM takes the political espouser to task for his or her ideas, policies, and lack of content of character. So it is the content of the shell and not it's color--nor gender or sexual preference--that is the subject. Unless, of course, you are one of those neurotically self-obsessed twits that avoids content of character discussions to play the shell game. Then your pettiness may get your shell noticed, but not the way you want.
- If you are one of those lower-tier thinkers that leads your way through life by aiming your color, gender, or sexual preference at others, get on with life and do something wonderful for others. Get your mind off yourself and you will be on your way to finding joy. Why take credit for traits you deem blessings (Did you do something other than roll out of bed?)? Persevere for good, not the cliquishness of color, gender, etc. Remember, one of the reasons slavery and Jim Crow laws endured: White Color Solidarity. So, what, today's minorities are dedicated to color solidarity, becoming that which should be despised: Race-oriented...hop-skip-and-a-jump...Racist? Have minorities lost the moral high ground? How can one preach the acknowledged wrongs of yesterday while condoning and practicing a trending evil today? Race orientation--color solidarity--trends toward evil. Whether white, black, or brown you are not special because of the color of your shell. It's about what that shell contains--the content of your character, right? Remember, color solidarity can easily be used as a racist's foot stool.
- Test your righteousness. Shun color, gender, and preference focus and solidarity and and get dedicated to what is true, good, kind, and lovely--the things you do with your mind and heart. After all, you were blessed to roll out of bed with the shell-traits and focusing on them limits your influence and short-changes the telling of your life story. The world aches for all you can be. Make your life.
- Agreement is not necessary, nor is it the aim of great nudging debate. The conversation--the social intercourse--builds relationships, and even bad ones are preferable to none at all. As too many angry drivers know, it's easy to flip the bird to those in passing. But let the "flipper" contemplate running into the recipient of the gesture at the next coffee shop and deep restraint sets in. Argue, disagree and even verbally quarrel--we must to see each other as real people, as fellow Americans. In doing so we risk only our feelings and our philosophical positions, but not life or limb, or the country. The shadowy silence is the enemy and is where great evil lurks. Engage and help shine the illuminating light of liberty.
- Remember, always getting what your group wants now does not necessarily lead to what is best for you and yours tomorrow. Have you considered others--have you considered what's best for America? Those you seek to vilify today, or the standard you are devoted to undermining to get your way now, may be the exact best hope for your security and protection from real enemies of liberty tomorrow.
- We endeavor to engage in debate to express opinion and challenge the voices and prose offered by others; We do carefully consider the dissenting efforts and voices critiqued. You may find our voice a bit abrasive and recalcitrant. Big deal. You have your voice, we have ours. Welcome to Liberty--freedom from having to forsake our beliefs and goals to make you feel better about yours.
- Liberty requires "freedom from"--freedom from government coercion; freedom from forced conformity; freedom from having to make you feel better about your opinion, life choice, or pet vogue quest. You win enlightened supporters by bearing fruit that supports your argument, not by becoming someone or something that loving Americans would not invite to coffee, tea, or the neighborhood BBQ--keeping in mind that it is nearly impossible to so offend the welcoming heart of Americans.
- Many Leftist claims and causes have required careful consideration by the majority. In fact, the Left has required and received consideration and a great deal of courteous kindness--compassion and forbearance--regarding their privacy and personal pursuits. And now where are we? At a place where the militant Left does not offer the same courtesy to the disagreeing voice that was integral to their own pursuit of liberty. The militant Left is deluded by its own sledge hammer marketing and the majority's accommodating meekness--controlled power. But it is clear lines have been crossed and grand experiments have failed, or at least the data is in and current social constructs require new and deep nudging discussions and debates. Using political correctness to "hush" others is over.
- An exception to the "freedom from" tenet of Liberty is "debate." Liberty requires robust debate, not what much of the militant Left is propped up by: Hollywood marketing aligned with the flickering embers of propagandistic harm wished upon America by Cold War enemies. Really! The militant Left markets their hopes and wishes as the norm and then sets out to use aggressive speech and actions to shut up debate. Well, the militant Left's intolerance has brought those days to an end. What the militant Left will not accommodate, should it receive? What the militant Left sets out to destroy will threaten what they have. With skin in the game will they see the light? What you refuse others--consideration and forbearance--you may, eventually, be denied. Yes, Conservatives and Libertarians will continue to work to safe the militant Left from itself, and in doing so save America.
- By seeing Conservatives as their enemy does the militant Left actually run the risk of undermining their best future hope? While Conservatives ask for respect regarding the definition of marriage and the free exercise of religion, they do not deny personal and private pursuits of love and commitment. Is it too much to ask for the Left to acknowledgment that words mean things and those meanings often run deep and define the core beliefs of the believer. Despite the militant Left's lack of consideration and forbearance for the concern and beliefs of others, Conservatives would still stand locked-arm with the LGBT community to protect them from that which lurks in the wings just waiting to see how far America will fall before an actual enemy of humanity has a chance to wrest power and make its political, social, and religious enemies pay. Conservatives would protect the Left--to the death--from any lurking evil that would use America's virtue against Her or any of Her people. The militant Left needs to listen to the better sense of those it pretends to protect and represent. The LGBT community needs Conservatives and America needs the strength, intelligence, and grace of the LGBT community.
- Please consider that today's militant Leftist is the ideological progeny of Cold War enemy destructive intent bred to the domestic brooding and bored progressive. The Left and its policies are products of sinister propagandistic efforts Stalin and Mao would have proudly supported to undermine America from within by separating Americans from their faith, their founding, their rugged individualism (and their gun), and the strength to fight on toward the more perfect America described and established by Her founding documents. While the story of the humanity of Her people has never been perfect, America has always been more perfectible because its founding documents established ideas and principles of liberty and freedom that exceeded the imagined hopes of contemporary humanity, then and even now. That the founders were fallible highlights the miracle of their self-sacrificing devotion to an idea bigger than themselves, which ultimately undermined any personal compromise that today's hypocrites want to stone. The Founders blessed America and the world with an idea that yields liberty and will make you free if you grasp it and stand in strength to hold and secure it. All the chatter against Her merely proves there is a lurking enemy construct that devotes itself to keeping you and yours from realizing the greatness of America, the greatness of her people, and that the Liberty blessed and owed you, and so practiced, can make you free--fully human: That you may say that you are an American...Resplendent everywhere you stand. Step out of their cage and re-align with self-reliance so that you can help write the history of the grand idea that is your America.
- (If you offer comments to RHOPROSE ([email protected]) try to be courteous--not a "flipper." Get atop your soapbox and bring it--but keep it short (no more than four well crafted sentences should do it--please!).
And here are some quotes from Thomas Jefferson to chew on (Why? Why not?):
- "When the people fear the government, there is tyranny. When the government fears the people, there is liberty."-- T. Jefferson
- "I never considered a difference of opinion in politics, in religion, in philosophy, as cause for withdrawing from a friend."-- T. Jefferson
- "My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government."-- T. Jefferson
- "If a nation expects to be ignorant and free, in a state of civilization, it expects what never was and never will be."-- T. Jefferson
- "Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty."-- T. Jefferson
- "The spirit of resistance to government is so valuable on certain occasions that I wish it to be always kept alive."-- T. Jefferson
